Expressing My Heart

One of the important mind of Japanese Shodo (calligraphy)  is honesty.

So I will express what I felt without comparing it with other people.

Still don’t forget my exciting heart “Waku-waku”.

I hope my works make as many people as possible smiles and happy.

I was born in Aomori prefecture surrounded by beautiful nature and I grew up eating delicious apples. Now I live in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam where there are many people with nice smile and beautiful blue sky every day. I love doing yoga, diving and cooking& eating. I’m happy to look at the blue sky and nature while having coffee and listening to my favorite music.

寿司 – Sushi
Sushi is one of the famous foods in Japan and Japanese people eat Sushi when there is something to be happy. Sushi is an auspicious Japanese word that governs Kotobuki. Kotobuki means that life lasts long until we get old.

桜 – Sakura
‘Ashihiki no Yama-Sakura-Bana Hinarabete Kakusakitaraba Ito Koiyamemo’ — This piece is from the oldest anthology of Japanese poetry ‘Manyoshu’ in late 7th to late 8th century. Sakura (Cherry) is the national flower of Japan and people find its blossoms as a signal of the arrival of long awaited spring. Flower language of Sakura is ‘Spiritual Beauty’. The worship as a symbol of life and death because its blossoms are very short-lived.

生遊 – Ikiru Asobu
生/Ikiru means life and 遊/Asobu means play. Life is only once for everyone, so I want to live by doing what I really want to do.
